FAQs

How do you make your art?

I’ve always enjoyed drawing and painting, and up until the Fall of 2023, I primarily stuck to sketching, and watercolor painting, sometimes sprinkling in markers, color pencils, acrylic paint, etc. I began teaching myself digital art using the program Procreate and my iPad in the Fall of 2023 through video tutorials, tips and tricks pages on Pinterest, and good ol’ trial and error. I use a stylus to hand draw my art using a variety of brushes provided by Procreate and additional brushes and paper textures from Calvin at Drifter Studio and Lisa Glanz, digital artists whose tutorials and tools I have made much use of!

What tools do you use?

  • iPad Pro 4th generation

  • Zagg Stylus Pro - this stylus has nearly all the functionality of an Apple Pencil, except for pressure sensitivity, for a fraction of the cost. I may invest in an Apple Pencil eventually, but the Zagg stylus works just fine for me for now. Replacement tips can be purchased from amazon, and I go through a tip about every 3-4 art pieces.

  • the Procreate app for iOS

  • Bersem PaperFeel screen protector - this screen protector gives the iPad screen the texture of paper, or at least a close approximation, which helps with control and precision and provides a more natural drawing experience. (It does wear down the tips of the Zagg stylus pretty quickly, but luckily these can be bought in packs of 8 for relatively cheap from Amazon.)

How long have you been doing digital art?

As mentioned above, I have only been doing digital art since October of 2023, and I am still learning and growing in my craft. I’ve always been artistic, and have dabbled in traditional art off and on for my entire life. Digital art has given me a newfound freedom and confidence that I hope to one day pour back into my watercolor paintings, as well.

I am interested in a custom print or product of an existing piece, how do I order?

I am currently a very small, one-woman operation, and while I eventually hope to sell products directly from this site, for now, you can contact me through the webpage contact form or DM me on Instagram, and we can discuss the timing and costs associated with a custom order.

Do you do commissions?

I have not formally taken on commissions yet, but I am open to collaborating and discussing what you are looking for. I will let you know if I feel what you’re hoping for is out of my skill range, but the whole process will be a collaborative one, just reach out and get in touch!.
